Nilanjana Das , a strong believer on bringing the women in the mainstream development and passionate about economic independence of rural women and sustainability. She believes that if the right kind of knowledge, information, guidance and skills are provided to women, she can actually help in bringing development in the entire community with respect to education, health, environment and good governance with focus on all sections of the people. She is equally passionate to take up challenges and introducing innovative methods to provide opportunities to the rural women. She completed her post graduate studies from Xavier Institute of Social Service.(XISS) .This is the place which molded her and helped her visualize a career in people’s development. After her studies she worked with several assignments and innovative experiments focusing on people’s development. Nilanjana Das has over 15 years of experience in the project management, training and development and consulting in different part of the country and abroad. She has been spear heading projects in various non government organizations and social organizations.After working for ten years of learning and practical experience which gave her an understanding and insight into her field , and her strong desire to contribute meaningfully to this sector , she plunged doing something independently and fuel her own sense of entrepreneurship. Thus she gave birth to an organization called “Action Center For Transformation”( ACT) ACT seeks to support women with creative skills, art, entrepreneurship and leadership skills as well as create an ecosystem for the rural women for their own development. Her passion is to work for and with the women and bring them under the purview of a social and economic empowerment through meaningful innovative approaches. She has been simultaneously mentoring other civil societies working on women issues and other development issues. She is a speaker in various forums and has been awarded the Karamveer Chakra award, a felicitation award for her work by the UN
Mayuri Baishya Hazarika
Mayuri Baishya has over 15 years of experience in the field of execution of project in the sector of rural development (Natural Resource Management and Livelihood) in different parts of India. She has experience in liaison the agencies with government, public institutions, resource individuals and NGOs. She is capable to work independently across different stakeholders and in challenging environment. She has experience in driving different projects with agencies like International Water Management Institute (IWMI, Hyderabad), Sir Ratan Tata Trust (Mumbai), Daurabji Tata Trust Mumbai. She demonstrated capability to conceptualize, plan and establish different development issues for the improvement of livelihood of rural people. She is a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing) from Assam Institute of Management – 1999.She is associated with ACT and gives her expertise in women livelihood programs with her experience and learning.
Neetu Dhigra RalhanNeetu Ralhan is a freelance writer & editor based in Gurgaon. She began her career as an IELTS trainer and in 2011 bade adieu to a full-time job to explore freelance writing. She has since been writing articles, blog posts, and web pages for local and international web sites. She is associated with ACT by not only providing her social media and documentation expertise but by heart believes in the work and the issues ACT is working and has been a continuous supporter to ACT.She thoroughly enjoys being among ACT craftswomen, witnessing and documenting change that runs so deep, it cannot be all quantified.
Shiuli PathakShiuli Mahato is a trained Craft Designer with a background in Information Technology. She is a desighner with 8 years of experience in furniture, interior products and crafts. Presently associated with desigh institutions as faculty and has been with desighn academics for 5 years.She looks forward to interacting with young creative minds, and evolving herself in a new direction of design education. She is associated with ACT as an important member to contribute her creative capabilities which can help the women to explore their creativity skills and bring a change in their lives.
Revati Jayakrishnan, an Artist, Designer and Maker, has always enjoyed exploring and experimenting with materials and techniques. A graduate of The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur where she specialized in Fired Material Application (Ceramics, Glass and Metal Casting), she acquired her skills directly from the source- the craftspeople and senior artists & designers from all over India. As a result, Revati has a strong foundation in design, practical workshop skills and research & documentation of practice in traditional Indian crafts.
Building on these traditional techniques,with a Masters degree in Contemporary Crafts from University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, she gained international exposure that enabled her to incorporate contemporary innovation and design in the traditional ceramic and glass processes.
Revati firmly believes in the power of handmade objects to provide an experience that people can interact with. With theskills and ability to combine materials like ceramics, glass and paper,she aims at working on large scale and site-specific projects alongside creating functional products.She is associated with ACT as a desighn trainer who helps the rural women to explore and learn new products and she is helps in marketing the products too.
Service-focused individual with a knack of using her creativeand design skills with a strong commitment to serving and healing the community. An accomplished artist with more than 2 decades of experience in the field of design and 40 art shows and auctions collectively along with being a fashion columnist.She trained herself for using Art as Therapy to enhance the creativity of the community by designing motivational modules to supplement as catalyst for the effective absorption of the knowledge of design and art given.
With her necessary skills, expertise , knowledge and experience to provide consultancy in these areas,she can provide technical and other support by giving art and design support for the products resulting in sustained work and income for the women artisans buildingtheir design capabilities and introducing product diversification. Upgrade their skills by developing knowledge of colour combination ,the use of material as per the market demand, shift in their design aesthetics to create premium products . Support capacity building and product innovation by providing enterpreneurial guidance and support.

Priyabrata and Avik
The duo Priyabrata Rautray Avik Roy are architects and product designer based in Delhi, India. They did their Bachelor of Architecture from College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar. Then went on to do his Master in Industrial Design from the premier institute of School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Both of them started R square desighn based in Delhi , a multidisciplinary desighn farm.They have their expertise in product , furniture and lighting desighns. The duo are associated with ACT on various times and was involved in desighnig the upcycled furniture and the lights. As trainers they also gave trainings to the women groups to understand the desighn concept and make quality , sustainable and marketable paper products .
Tamanna is a young girl doing her graduation but have a tremendous interest to work for a cause . She is a strong girl who took trainings from the Defense Services. She herself underwent self defense trainings and she wants it to impart the trainings to all girls and women. She is a very creative person as well and loves to interact with the women and help them create something new. She is passionate about her work, travelling and exploring new places. She is the coordinator and is place in Hissar program where she monitors Skill development program with women, who are learning and implementing the skill of upcycling and walking on the path of strengthening themselves with new skill and knowledge.
Sonu is a graduate from Delhi University and stay in Bandhwari village. She is the incharge of the community resource center and the library. She teaches computers to children and take care of the library and maintain the books. She teaches, art and craft, songs and dance to the chidren in the library. She loves to become a teacher in futur . She is the driving force of the community library and imparting skills to the children and exploring their creativity.
